Constantin Schlachter, born in 1992 in Altkirch, (FR), is an artist based in Paris, practicing mainly photography. Nature, the invisible and matter are dominant entities in his work. Through them, he creates sensorial fictions that delve into the examination of reminiscence, mental landscapes and a spiritual return to Nature. He works in an instinctive way, creating a continuous stream of pictures, with projects serving to punctuate that ongoing flow by crystallizing his evolving feelings into their own bodies of work. His work allows the viewer to explore their own inner images and project them onto the photography they are seeing.

In 2014, he received a MA in Photography at Gobelins, in Paris, following his literature and cinema studies at Lycée Paul Valéry. In 2015, Constantin Schlachter is named one of the FOAM Talents of the Year with his project « The Gyrovagi’s Trajectory ». This work, self-published in 2017, was followed by a solo show in 2018 at the Galerie Kernweine in Stuttgart.Other collective shows he has been a part of include : « Planet B » in 2016 at the NRW-Forum in Düsseldorf, and more recently, « Outer Space » at the Gallery Kernweine in 2021.

Alongside he produced editorials for magazines, such as Numero Netherland, Numero Berlin, Vogue Ukraine, Rouge Fashionbook, Vogue Arabia. He soon opened his practice by directing fashion videos for magazines and brands like At-One-Ment by Wanbing Huang.

Constantin Schlachter, né en 1992 à Altkirch (FR), est un artiste installé à Paris, qui pratique principalement la photographie. La nature, l'invisible et la matière sont des entités dominantes dans son travail. A travers eux, il crée des fictions sensorielles, qui plongent dans l'examination de réminiscences, de paysages mentaux et d'un retour spirituel à la nature. Il travaille de manière instinctive, créant un flux continuel d'images. Chaque projet ponctue ce flux en en cristallisant ses émotions mouvantes. Son travail autorise le spectateur à explorer leurs images intérieures et à les projeter sur la photographie qu'ils voient.

En 2014, il a reçu un Master en Photographie à Gobelins, Paris, après avoir étudié la littérature et le cinéma au lycée Paul Valéry. En 2015, Constantin Schlachter est nommé l'un des talents de l'année par FOAM, avec son projet « La Trajectoire du Gyrovague ». Ce travail auto-édité en 2017, s'est suivi d'une exposition solo en 2018 à la galerie Kernweine. D'autres expositions collectives dont il a fait partie : « Planet B » en 2016 au NRW-Forum à Düsseldorf, et plus récemment, « Outer Space » à la galerie Kernweine, en 2021.

Parallèlement il produit des éditoriaux pour divers magazines tel que : Numero Netherland, Numero Berlin, Vogue Ukraine, Rouge Fashionbook, Vogue Arabia. Il a ouvert ensuite sa pratique en réalisant des videos de modes pour des magazines et des marques comme At-One-Ment by Wanbing Huang.
